How an order proceeds

When you place a pre-order, it reaches us as an enquiry containing the items you chose and the delivery details you entered. No payment is taken at that moment.

We then write to you from care@sumeru.org.in to confirm that the items are in hand, tell you the delivery charge and the expected timeline for your address, and agree how payment will be made. Only after you confirm is the order packed and dispatched.

Where we deliver

We deliver across India. If you are outside India, write to us before ordering and we will tell you honestly whether we can serve your address.

Timelines and charges

Because every order is confirmed individually, delivery timelines and charges are quoted to you for your specific address and items before you commit — we do not publish a single flat figure that would not hold for every pincode.

Dispatch times depend on whether an item is in hand. Where something must be obtained first, we tell you that in the confirmation email rather than letting the order sit.

Tracking

Where the courier provides a tracking reference, we send it to you by email once the parcel is handed over.

If an item is unavailable

If an item turns out to be unavailable after you have ordered, we tell you at the confirmation stage. You may swap it, wait for it, or drop it from the order. Since payment has not been taken, nothing needs to be refunded.
