SUMERU
Returns & Refunds
Our standing promise is simple: anything that does not match its description is taken back. These are devotional articles, and we would rather have one back than have it disappoint you.
What can be returned
If an item does not match how it was described or photographed on this site, it can be returned — no argument required.
If an item arrives damaged or incomplete, tell us within 48 hours of delivery and include photographs, so we can take it up with the courier as well as put it right for you.
For any other reason, write to us within 7 days of delivery. The item should be unused and in the condition it arrived in, with its packaging.
What cannot be returned
For reasons of hygiene and of worship, opened attar, dhoop and tilak clay cannot be taken back unless the item was damaged, leaking or wrongly supplied.
Natural materials vary. Tulsi wood differs slightly in grain, colour and weight from bead to bead — that variation is a property of the material, not a defect, and is not by itself grounds for return.
How to raise a return
Write to care@sumeru.org.in with your order reference (it begins with "SMR-"), what the item is, and what is wrong. Photographs help and usually settle it in one exchange.
We will tell you where to send the item, or arrange collection where that is possible for your address.
Refunds
Because SUMERU takes no payment upfront, most problems are resolved before any money changes hands — if something is not right at the confirmation stage, the order simply does not proceed.
Where payment has already been made and a return is accepted, the refund is made by the same route the payment came in, once the returned item reaches us and has been checked. We will tell you when it has been sent.
Anything unclear here, ask us — a person answers.
